Career history
My career in the computer industry began in 1982 and has encompassed a number of roles, including Systems Controller for financial computerised systems, Analyst/Programmer. Since 1987 I have worked as a trainer for different software packages in a number of organisations, as well as in a self-employed capacity for private clients.
In my various training roles, I have often taught myself software and have developed manuals to a high, professional standard, written in plain English.
In 2004 I trained to teach Business English, helping people achieve a GCSE-equivalent qualification. As part of that training, I specialised in dyslexia. I also helped design forms for Organisational and Training Needs Analyses within organisations, have carried out ONAs and TNAs and have written reports on effective work practices.
